Marilla observers that Anne’s only real shortcoming is her penchant to daydream. Marilla decides to wait to tell Anne that she will stay at Green Gables. Of course, Anne asks at one point and Marilla tells her to get back to work. When Anne is finally told she imagines herself soaring to the sky. Anne promises to be her best. 1 Matthew Cuthbert is Surprised

The setup is that Marilla and Matthew are siblings who never married anyone and live together at Green Gables. They decide to adopt a young boy to help around the place. But when Matthew goes to pick up the child, it’s a precocious girl named Anne. Not sure what to do, Matthew takes her to go back to Green Gables. She chats for quite some times on a great manner of things such as sleeping in a cherry blossom tree and the fact she can’t be truly happy because she has red hair. Attack on Titan 1-3

1-To You, in 2000 Years

Gigantic humanoid creatures called Titans roam the earth and have pushed humanity back to a tiny city for over a thousand years. We are introduced to these Titans in the opening sequence when a group called the Scout Regiment attack one of these Titans outside the walls. It’s a terrible introduction. For one, it fails to establish the evil nature of the Titans so it just seems like a random attack on a hapless creature. It also doesn’t do a good job of explaining why they are attacking a Titan. Neon Genesis Evangelion

What a daunting piece of art. Where does one begin? The title sequence alone could be a jumping off point for an entire piece. It’s a testament to the soul of the show, which is this dense, philosophical story. Whether or not that philosophizing adds up to anything meaningful is a debate, especially with the show’s own creator saying that a lot of the imagery was mostly just dressing for a cool aesthetic.
